Macon Tax Service is owned and operated by Richard and Margery Waller,
both registered tax return preparers. They have been preparing taxes for 40 years.

After graduating from the current Truman State University with an Accounting degree,
Richard had originally planned to be employed by the Internal Revenue Service. Richard
changed career course and moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he spent five years in the
employ of two accounting firms located in that city.

Richard and Margery moved back to their hometown of Macon Missouri, to see if they could make
a career of public accounting and tax work in that area. Their first business location was on
Rollins street in downtown Macon. After a few years, they moved to a Bourke Street location
adjacent to the Gaslight building.

In the 1980's, many Macon businesses were migrating towards the Highway 63 & 36 junction area, and
Macon Tax Service was no exception. They purchased a location on Highway 63 across from the
Mc Donalds restaurant.

They were at this location for several years, but after moving their residence approximately a mile
outside the city limits of Macon, they decided to move the tax office there as well. They have been
in their current location since 1996 with no plans to move at this time.
